Located about 16 miles northwest of Austin, Cedar Park is a large suburb of the city. With a population of about 77,595, it’s also one of the fastest-growing cities in the state this city has plenty of advantages for businesses and families.

Brushy Creek Lake Park provides exciting recreational activities in Cedar Park, TX

Located in Cedar Park, Texas, Brushy Creek Lake Park is a 90-acre oasis that offers active recreational activities. The park features a 38-acre lake, a splash pad, a fishing pier, a boat ramp, a playground, a sand volleyball court, and more. It is also an anchor to the Brushy Creek Regional Trail. You can enjoy the scenic views along the way, or you can just wander the shoreline and see what nature has to offer. The park is located near Parmer Lane and Brushy Creek Road. It opens about a half-hour before sunrise. It closes at about 10 pm on weekdays, and sunset on weekends. In addition to the lake, the park boasts three pavilions, a playground, and an exercise station.

The park is operated by the YMCA of Greater Williamson County, a community-focused nonprofit organization that has been delivering Cedar Park families with recreational programs for more than 175 years. The park is also home to the YMCA’s premier summer camp program on Twin Lakes.

The park also features a wildlife observation area and a labyrinth. There are also several hiking and biking trails. This is an ideal spot to watch the sun rise or set over the lake. You can also cast a few lines for bluegill and largemouth bass. The park has also been known to host several events, including the annual Brushy Creek Boat Parade. 

You can also take a ride on the Cedar Rock Railroad. This half-mile journey travels through the forest and wildlife areas. You’ll also find dog showers and drinking fountains. There are also several pet-friendly spots in the park, including a pond that’s a good place to take your dog for a swim. 

The park is also home to the Cedar Rock Railroad, which resembles a miniature steam train, and features a miniature sculpture garden, benches, and replica dinosaur bones. The rail line is a half-mile ride and has several pet waste stations. The smallest tree in the park is a 57-foot-tall oak that is illuminated by thousands of lights during the holiday season.
